Privacy Policy – Ads Integration

This privacy policy describes how Bäverbutiken.se ("we", "us") handles data in connection with our internal Meta (Facebook and Instagram) application, used to manage our own advertising.
1. Who this application is for
This application is a private, internal tool. It is not offered to the public, has no end users other than us, and no one can sign up for it or log in to it. It is used solely by the owner of Bäverbutiken.se to manage our own Meta advertising accounts and our own Facebook Page.
2. What data the application accesses
The application accesses only data belonging to our own business:
- Advertising data from our own ad accounts: campaigns, ad sets, ads, budgets, spend, and performance statistics.
- Aggregated statistics about our own ads, such as impressions, clicks, video views and purchases.
- Content we ourselves have published on our own Facebook Page, including our ads and their posts.
- Public comments left by other people on our own ads and posts. We read these to understand objections and questions about our products so we can improve our advertising.
The application does not access private messages, friend lists, personal profiles, or any data belonging to other businesses or Pages.
3. Why we process this data
We process this data for one purpose only: to analyse the performance of our own advertising and to improve the advertising we produce. The legal basis under the GDPR is our legitimate interest in running and improving our own business (Article 6(1)(f)).
4. Comments and personal data
Comments on our ads may contain the name of the person who wrote them. We read comments to identify recurring questions and objections about our products. We do not use comments for profiling, we do not build advertising audiences from them, and we do not use them to contact individuals for marketing purposes. Where we store an extract of a comment for internal analysis, we remove the commenter's name and any other identifying details.
5. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade any data. Data is not shared with third parties except for the service providers that operate our infrastructure on our behalf (for example cloud hosting and AI processing services), which act as processors under written agreements and may not use the data for their own purposes.
6. Storage and retention
Data retrieved through the application is stored within our own systems and is kept only as long as it is needed for advertising analysis, normally up to 24 months. Extracts of comments used for creative analysis are anonymised and kept no longer than 12 months.
7. Security
Access tokens and credentials are stored as encrypted environment secrets and are never published, shared or embedded in any public code. Access to the application is limited to the owner of the business.
8. Your rights
If you have commented on one of our ads and want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted, contact us using the details below. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and the right to object to our processing of it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, imy.se).
9. Data deletion
To request deletion of any data relating to you, send an email to kundsupport@baverbutiken.se with the subject line "Data deletion request". Tell us which Facebook or Instagram account the request concerns. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
